Williamsburg Office (Corporate):

 

Water Resources Engineer

We are seeking engineers for opportunities ranging from entry-level to mid-level.  The preferred candidate should have a minimum of a B.S. degree in Civil/ Environmental/Biological Systems or Agricultural Engineering, Surface Water Hydrology, or other physical sciences with a specialization in water resources engineering or planning.  An emphasis in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, water quality assessments, and water resources planning is preferred.  Candidates should be highly motivated, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work within a team environment, and possess a working knowledge of some or all of the following skills as they relate to the planning and design of water resources projects:

 -  Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

 -  Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis

 -  Watershed planning

 -  Low Impact Development and design

 -  Floodplain studies 

 -  Water quality assessments

 -  General knowledge of computer spreadsheets, database, and word processing applications

 -  Ability to work in a highly automated design office environment

 -  General knowledge of AutoCAD and hydrologic and hydraulic software

    (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, and Pond Pack) preferred

 

CAD Technician

The preferred candidate should have 0 - 2 years experience utilizing AutoCAD, the ability to work within a team environment and possess a working knowledge of some or all of the following skills as they relate to professional practice:

 -  Experience with AutoCAD 2004
 -  Preparation of Environmental Inventory Maps and Permit Support Graphics:

 -  wetland delineation and impacts maps
 -  wetland mitigation feasibility maps
 -  regulatory support graphics for water quality impact assessments
 -  two-dimensional color plan graphics
 -  site feasibility studies

 -  Knowledge of preparation of engineering documentation and graphics (a plus):

 -  Resource inventory map preparation and site analysis
 -  Conceptual design to final site plan design development
 -  Grading, drainage, and layout design
 -  Construction detailing and document preparation
 -  Spreadsheet and word processing applications

 -  Ability to work effectively within a team in a highly automated design office environment

 

Accounts Receivable - Collections Clerk

The candidate hired for this position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

 -  Post Clients’ Payments Daily

 -  Collection Calls

 -  Call on all accounts when they pass 30 days, requesting payment date

 -  Resolve client questions about invoices

 -  Update AR notes

 -  Keep project managers up to date when an account passes into 60 days

 -  Accounts Receivable Report

 -  Run AR reports for Accounting/Board Meetings once a month for principals and controller

 -  Good customer service with clear and pleasant voice

 -  Basic computer skills a necessity

This position requires a B.A./B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, or related field as well as good communication skills.  The individual will be required to demonstate the following skills as they relate to professional practice:

 -  Assist in Application Preparation, Support Documentation and Environmental Assessments

 -  Threatened and Endangered Species Coordination and Natural Hertiage Liaison

 -  Coordinate with Regulatory Agents on Assigned Projects

 -  Assist Senior Staff with permit research and application preparation

Regulatory Specialist II

The preferred candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in Section 404/401 permitting and technical report writing, with familiarity in the related disciplines of wetland delineation, stream and wetland mitigation and regulatory compliance.  Knowledge of state and federal permit procedures is required.  NEPA document preparation/compliance is a plus. This position requires a B.A./B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, or related field as well as good communication skills.  The individual will be required to demonstrate the following skills as they relate to professional practice.  Duties for this position include:

 -  Working knowledge of the latest Section 404/401 laws and guidance

 -  Thorough understanding of the regulatory process

 -  Capable of understanding and interpreting plan drawings

 -  Good computer and organizational skills

 -  Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

 -  Good technical writing and interpersonal skills

 -  Must be willing to work outdoors in seasonal conditions
