When we turn on the faucet, we see the result of John’s work—clean water. His passion for his work stems from keeping his community running while recognizing the value of the environment and our precious water resources. Looking through an expert lens of water quality, John sees the bigger picture of resource planning and seeks out optimal solutions for the community.
One of John’s most rewarding projects involved construction of a new wastewater treatment plant to replace the existing, under-sized facility at the Cold Springs Water Reclamation Facility. “Constructing a brand new plant doesn’t happen very often, it was exciting to start up the plant, get it running, and know we helped improve operations, safety, and reliability for the client.” It was the trusting relationship between engineer and client that made this project a success.
When he’s not working, John is an avid bicyclist and skier. If you catch him after a ride at a little local bakery with his friends and a coffee in hand, you know he’s having a good day.
