Greensprings Greenway Trail Design

The Greensprings Greenway Trail is a 4.7 mile trail connecting the historic Mainland Farm and Greensprings Plantation National Historic Site in James City County.  The trail is a multi-use trail consisting of a composition of natural surfaces with crushed stone and gravel surfaces and wooden boardwalks over natural drainages and wetland features.  The trail has won several awards for its design and planning efforts.

Plumeri Park Construction
The Williamsburg Environmental Group assisted James City County with the Environmental Site Assessment including the wetland delineation, Regulatory Support and Permitting and trail design and layout of this historic greenway trail system.  The Williamsburg Environmental Group is also working with the Williamsburg Land Conservancy to extend this trail and link it to the Capital to Capital Bikeway project proposed by VDOT, James City County, Charles City County, Henrico County and the City of Richmond.
