The York River Mitigation Landbank (YRMLB) is sited on 505 acres of existing agricultural land in King William County , Virginia . WEG assisted YRMLB through project development including feasibility, monitoring, design, and construction oversight.

York River Mitigation LandbankThe Bank is located along the Pamunkey River approximately 75 miles upstream of its confluence with the Mattaponi River . The two rivers converge to form the beginning of the York River at the Town of West Point . The master plan contains 223 acres of wetland creation, 73.82 acres of wetland restoration, 118.76 acres of proposed riparian corridor habitat, and 88.31 acres of wetland preservation. The Bank also includes approximately 11,078 linear feet of stream channel restoration and 3,749 linear feet of stream channel creation.

The Bank Service Area includes the primary hydrologic unit 02080106 exclusive of Orange and Louisa Counties and portions of the following adjoining hydrologic units lying in the Coastal Plain, 02080105 and 02080107. This area includes all or portions of Spotsylvania County , Caroline County , King & Queen County , Hanover County, King William County , New Kent County , James City County , York County , and Gloucester County .
